The closed barges on the right side are the bottom of the big Ark. The open barges on the left will be put on top of the bottom ones soon.

The barges are welded together, separated by 6 inches.

The welding.

He does that from a small boat in between of the rows of barges.

This picture shows the size of the barges, 18,75m (20.5 yards) long, 9,50m (10.40 yards) wide.

The second layer of barges was put on top of the lower layer in the beginning of July.

A wide gate becomes visible after cutting through the barges.

A lot of welding to do, sometimes from a difficult position…de zijkant
Iron plates are being welded to the side of the Ark.

  1. WOW !!!!!!!!!! Wonderful

  2. Loved the whole thing!!! It is amazing. People try too hard to discount the Bible, hope this helps some to see that the Bible never lies.

One comment though. The last picture that shows the sizes of the barges. Is the dimensions correct? It says “this picture shows the size of the barges, 18,75m (20.5 yards long), 9,50m (10.40 inches) wide. Is the inches part correct? Just doesn’t sound right. Anyway wonderful project. Awesome.

  3. Thanks for youre comment, I changed the inches into yards! Thanks!

  4. That is incredible. Thank you for bringing to life a very sacred part of our history and the promises that when we are righteous and live the commandments, the Lord will prepare places of safety and refuge.

  5. Isn’t it wonderful how the Ark points to our safety in Christ because He is our hiding place? He did what we can’t do and because He did it for us we are safe in Him! Thanks for your comment!

  6. It is wonderful that in the final days, according to fulfillment of the scripture, that another ark wold be built. However, our safety will be the catching away by the Lord this time. Thanks for reminding us that there is absolute safety in our Lord Jesus Christ.

How sad that so many people reject the only way to everlasing freedom through Christ Jesus, the son of God.

    Thank you for doing this!

  7. Thank you so much for making the ARK come alive!!!!

  8. May God bless you dearly and sustain and strengthen you for your obedience, passion and witness for Him.
    You must warm His heart.

  9. Loved the comment about hiding in Christ, I’m so glad you know Him. what a testament to the grace of God. why else would God give you the exact dimensions if He didn’t want you to show it to the world! God bless you!!!!

  10. We are fundamental Bible students and very interested in your project. We would love to publish it in our magazine LOGOS, if it is possible to get some high definition pictures and comments from time to time.
    Many thanks

  11. WOW ! ! ! It is always wonderful when God makes
    His Word come alive.

  12. I love the idea of a full scale replica. I’m a welding instructor and would love to see more pictures. Thanks, Mike

  13. Looks like the insane are at it again…it is plain to see that the descendents of Adam and Eve’s inbreeding led to Noah re-imbreeding which beget this ark building loon. It seems that when you give mentally challenged Christian lifers to much freedom and money they waste it on dwindling natural resources like cedar.

Me and the others who evolved from the ameba and Ape are getting a good laugh from your zeal. It is truly amazing how descendants of Abraham are expressing their stupidity in such a grand way.

  14. God bless Johan Huibers and all those involved in the ark projects. We pray the Lord will continue to use you and the wonderful talents He gave you.

We pray that many will come to know the Lord through you and your work.

    Wonderful!

  15. How absolutely fascinating! Once the full sized Ark is finished, I would love to plan a trip to see it. Bless you for making this incredible Old Testament story real! You’ll be on our nightly “List” of requests for continued blessings that you may complete your work.

  16. Richard, I know this frightens you and you are feeling hurt and confusion. People who attack in this way are always suffering and cannot understand why they have not felt the comfort from God that others speak of. I pray your heart will soften enough to hear the truth that has been spoken to you. You are loved and you were created to have a relationship with the Creator.

  17. Thank you this is a God Wow1

  18. May the Lord Bless you and keep you and may His face shine upon you and your work brother Johan.I am thankful to the Lord for His grace upon your life.

  19. Wonderful!

I look forward to adding your website to my Online Science and Physics courses.

    Greetings from Canada.

  20. Very impressive!
We Muslims believe in Prophet Noah (May peace be upon him) and the Arc, which is mentioned in a number of versus in the Holy Quran.
It would be interesting to see this life size Arc made by our Dutch brothers. However, i was wondering how they managed to get the dimensions of the arc.
Looking into the gigantic efforts that is being put into this project during this era of technological marvel, it does leave one wondering of the kind of an effort it would have taken Prophet Noah (Peace be upon him) during those days when there were no machines, cranes, welding technology etc.
Surely it was possible at that time due to the Grace of Almighty Allah and his command as it is now.
May Allah bless us all! Amin!

  21. why are there metal barges and welders needed?

i would think if you were going to replicate something, you would replicate how it was built as well…

maybe i’m outta the bible loop, but i don’t remember god telling noah to pull out his welding equipment to git ‘er done…

pretty cool that you’re doing it, but doing it this way makes it seem even less possible that noah could’ve done it with what little help he had, and in the time he did…

    i dunno, maybe i’m just construction-challenged.

  22. why all the insults and aggresion richard! johan is doing something that your small ape like mind cannot comprehind. God loves all of his creations, from the smallest ape, to every single human being on earth. He will carry on loving all, no matter what is said about Him and His children. God bless you Johan for your work, and God bless you Richard!

  23. When it’s ready (does it have a motor)can you float it to chicago?I got to see this

  24. What a wonderful way to express the very first
Animal Rescue. For myself, I’m involved in
rescuiing racing greyhounds when they can no
longer win the money. In dog racing it’s very
    simple: Win or Die.
For those who do not know, in the King James’
Version of the Bible, Book of Proverbs,
    Chapter 30, verses 29-31, you’ll find quite
a surprise! :) What an awesome way to
relate the Bible to children of all ages!

  25. The comment from “h bear” mentions Johan doing it in exactly the manner Noah did; however, you must keep in mind that Noah lived 950 years. Modern mankind doesn’t have that luxury…and if I’m not mistaken it probably took him around 100-120 years to build his “boat”.

  26. Hey let’s remember that Noah was a “preacher” of righteousness. Preaching is God’s proclaimation of His non-negotiable way of salvation— repentance from our waywardness from God and sin; following Christ and His teaching with obedient faith. Faith comes from hearing everything Jesus’ commanded, the sum of His Word being truth. Let’s pray and ask God for POWER on the GOSPEL and accompaning signs and wonders, salvations. Many or even most will not believe as is the order from Noah to Israel to Jesus to this present age. Let’s do our part, study, pray, fast & preach the gospel: Faith comes from hearing the message: God made eyeballs & brains and rainbows, puppies & music: Father, please open eyes to see and hear! Grant faith and grace to the builders of the ark and give them evangelists to hold faithfully to the apostolic testimony. Bear witness with salvations, signs and wonders, in the Name of the only Resurrected Man, Jesus the Messiah, Descendant of David, Son of God from eternity past, Amen.

  27. I visited the ark in October when I stayed at Epe. I was greatly impressed and felt the Bible recording of Noah’s faithfulness to God’s instructions are a valuable lesson and also the flood and geological consequences seem both believable and logical. Great vision, great work, and a valuable teaching tool to both young and old to at least create deeper thought about its validity! I look forward to visiting the one now under construction.
