Aug. 1 update:
The second layer of 9 barges is put on top of the bottom layer excisting of 23 barges! It took three days to get the barges in the right place. It took about 1,5 hours for each barge. Only one small business with a ship with pulleys offered to take the risk to pull the 82 ton barges above the water and turn them over before putting them in place on top of the bottom layer. Steel pulleys that weigh 90 Kg per meter were used for the job. Good weather helped to make this a succesful project, and soon the first wood will appear on the real size Ark of Noah- to be…
Sept. 5 update:
The welding and cutting continues and an exciting moment was when the “gate” became visible! When the last “wall” was cut through one could see all the way through the barges and it gives an idea of how big the Ark really is!
The barges on top of the lower ones are laid on top in a way that the top barge coveres two half barges of the row below. It’s kind of like a honeycomb way. It’s the plan to make it possible to look down into the lowest row of barges from the second layer so that people can see the storage rooms Noah built to store up food supplies at the bottom of the Ark. More news will follow soon!

AWESOME ! !
We are interested in seeing the ark when we will be in the Netherlands in Janurary 2009. Can you tell us where it will be then.?
Thank you
Joanne
It is wonderful that you have found a way to reach people with the Gospel. Using the Ark as a tool to show that the Bible story is true and validates the power of God! I have been to Holland twice and would love to come back just to see the Ark, so pray that the Lord will provide a way. Thank you for this display of your faith.
Sincerely,

When will the second ark be finnished ?
How absolutely and utterly fantastic. And to think that Noah did it without the benefit of modern machinery. How awesome is our God? Thank you so much for doing this. It has made the Bible so alive for so many people. I am just overwhelmed by this fantastic project. God bless you for your work.
How absolutely incredible to not only design the Ark
but to have the equipment in place and ready to go into
action at just the right moment. I hope to get to the
Netherlands to now only see friends, but The Arlk
also.
Thank you for bringing a wonderfl part of the Bible
to an actual replica for those who still don’t believe.
Once you “set sail”, You HAVE GOT to come to Tacoma, Washington first! (Not Seattle
JUST HEAD TO NORTHWEST!
My kids will love it! …and we will too.
